Scalloping
Scalloping is underway in Homosassa! Harvesting bay scallops is an exciting recreation for all ages. Many of our Captains offer various scalloping trips with affordable rates. Reports are coming in that the scallop population in Homosassa is doing well this year. Now is the time to book your trip and let our experienced captains be your guide to some of the best scalloping grounds in the world. Scalloping season runs from July 1st until September 25th. Manatees
Homosassa and the Homosassa River are abundant with wildlife! One of the more popular creatures is the Florida Manatee. Manatees are an endangered species and hundreds of them make their home in the Homosassa River and local coastal waters. Tourists come from all over the country and world to view and swim with the manatees in Homosassa. These gentle giants are very playful in nature and number in the hundreds during the winter months.
